Portfolio Introduction

Virtual events should offer more than a digital imitation of a conference hall or concert venue or 360-degree videos. Online creative technologies should create new forms of performance, participation and shared experience: places where architecture responds to media, audiences move through stories, and producers can direct light, sound, screens and spectacle across a live multiplayer world.

Since 2020, Xyris XR has explored this potential through virtual clubs, cultural salons, career events, multiplayer media spaces and an extensible festival-production toolkit. My work combines spatial design, real-time development, live programming, cinematic media and accessibility into environments built not simply to be viewed, but to be inhabited.

How do I do this? By living a life before online, before avatars, before popularized AI, relentlessly pursuing traditional arts, audio and video recording, narrative design and animation, all based on a traditional fine arts education.

In November 2026, Xyris XR will participate in IMMERSIVE X, the Global XR Festival in VR. The festival’s theme, Reclaim the Future, reflects the central idea connecting these projects: virtual worlds can become practical creative infrastructure for artists, organizations and communities, while also opening forms of gathering that would be difficult—or impossible—to stage physically.

Syxth Element Festival Toolkit

Building a Production System for the Next Generation of Virtual Events

The Project

Syxth Element began with a question: what would a virtual concert become if it were designed as its own medium rather than as a simulation of a physical stage?

The answer developed into a modular festival-production toolkit with more than thirty custom features for building and directing multiplayer concerts, festivals, brand activations and hybrid events. Instead of locking a production into one venue or visual identity, the system separates show control from environment design. It can therefore support many kinds of spaces, from intimate performances to large-scale festival worlds.

Realization

This project brought spatial design and show production into the same real-time workflow. Custom light-beam, laser and emissive-material systems expanded the visual range available in XR. Network-synchronized commands coordinated stage lights, screen content and show states across multiplayer sessions. Projection mapping, façade lighting, hologram-like depth effects and choreographed drone formations extended the performance beyond a conventional stage.

I think of media authoring as a narrative production statement. I ensured my LED screens can be identified and grouped by name, allowing content to move across multiple surfaces or form spatial split-screen compositions, even alter tempo and content based on their position in 3D space. My mind in action.

My show wizard generates editable timing sequences and tempo maps for a quick start, while my timeline-based control allows images, videos, lighting, lasers and other effects to be refined by hand. Reusable setlists and synchronized playback help keep live productions consistent, while timing adjustments ar automatically updated during shows.

My Syxth Element toolkit also includes broadcast-style camera movement and drone cinematography so an event to be experienced both by people inside the virtual venue and by audiences watching a live stream or recorded program. Drawing on my experience with live tv productions helped me build this streaming-ready option.

Outcome

Syxth Element turned my several years of event experimentation into an extensible production platform. It demonstrates that ambitious virtual shows do not need to be rebuilt as one-off technical demonstrations: their lighting, screens, lasers, cameras, media and spatial effects can become reusable systems.

For event producers, artists and brands, Syxth Element Festival Toolkit is a flexible foundation for creating artistically distinctive productions while reducing the amount of custom engineering required for each new venue. For audiences, it offers something more important: a concert environment that behaves like a living visual instrument.

ArKathedral

Transforming Architectural Design into an Upscale Multiplayer Event Venue

The Project

ArKathedral was created as a high-end virtual club and cultural venue: a multiplayer environment intended for album launches, performances, exhibitions, private events and branded experiences. Its purpose was not to reproduce an existing nightclub, but to establish a memorable destination with its own architecture, atmosphere and social rhythm.

Architectural 3D artist Alper Zini designed and modelled the venue, combining medieval forms with a cyber-futurist visual language. Xyris XR developed the environment as an event experience, shaping the journey through the building and integrating the technical and media systems needed to make the architecture perform.

Realization

Visitors enter through a sequence of spaces that gradually reveals the central three-storey stage. An entrance gallery, product displays, cyberbar, VIP lounge, spiral stairs and a glass floor overlooking archaeological forms create multiple reasons to circulate rather than remain in one viewing position. Organic columns rise toward an astral ceiling, while vaulted silver surfaces frame the stage as the visual centre of the building. Designed to resemble the layout of a Renaissance cathedral that restricts then expands the space to inspire the spritual connection of visitors, so too does ArKathedral invite and elevate you.

The venue was developed to support synchronized media, lighting, lasers and multiplayer interaction. Instead of attaching event features to a neutral room, each system was integrated into the architecture: sight lines direct attention toward performance and display areas; upper levels create changing perspectives; social zones allow visitors to step away from the central program without leaving the event. Media zones within ArKathedral mimic the real-time effect of leaving then returning to a space to hear its programme has advanced in real time.

The result connects architectural storytelling with practical event requirements. Artists can occupy a visually distinctive stage, brands can use gallery and showcase areas, and organizers can program several levels of activity within one coherent environment.

Outcome

ArKathedral became a flagship example of Xyris XR’s ability to turn an ambitious architectural concept into a functional multiplayer destination. Its value lies in the combination: a recognizable visual identity, a carefully staged visitor journey and a technical foundation suitable for repeat programming.

My project shows how a virtual venue can become part of an event’s cultural identity rather than simply its container. For album drops, cultural nights and special productions, the building itself contributes to the sense of occasion.

hundo x Ruby Room — CareerCon22

Rebuilding a Virtual Venue Around Gen Z Careers and Community

The Project

For CareerCon22, hundo invited Xyris XR to transform my Ruby Room into a virtual career and community event for Gen Z audiences. The project required more than visual rebranding. The venue had to make a varied program—interviews, music, social activity, partner visibility and career content—easy to discover and comfortable to explore.

Our collaboration grew from hundo’s creator community, where the Ruby Room project and myself was selected as one of two ltop eading visionaries of the new online experience among 100 participants. CareerCon22 created the opportunity to convert their ambition programme into a working client event.

Realization

The existing room was substantially redesigned around the program. A new floor plan established clear routes between the central stage, interview content, TikTok video kiosks, partner displays, sign-up areas, climbing and activity features, nature spaces and quieter social zones.

Sight lines became a central design tool. Curved display walls guided attention without creating visual clutter, while branding was placed at prominent decision points throughout the venue. The stage identity remained visible across the room, helping visitors understand where the main program was taking place even as they explored secondary activities.

Accessibility was incorporated into the environment rather than added as a final compliance layer. Chill zones offered relief from event audio. Scene-description text, guided tours, reduced-saturation and reduced-glow options, dyslexia-supportive typography and motor-access considerations helped make the experience usable by a wider range of visitors.

Our completed event combined career programming with the energy of a social virtual world, including multimedia displays, music, interactive areas, laser lighting and celebratory effects.

Outcome

CareerCon22 demonstrated how an existing virtual venue can be strategically refitted for a client, audience and program without losing its original character. My redesigned Ruby Room gave hundo a branded multiplayer event centre in which interviews, partners, community activity and entertainment could coexist in a legible spatial structure.

The project also established an approach that continues across Xyris XR’s event work: begin with the needs of the audience and the program, then use architecture, media and interaction to make these priorities visible.

Ruby Room Prime and the Sunflower Room

Using Virtual Worlds for Cultural Conversation and International Community

The Project

Ruby Room Prime was conceived as a salon for the arts and sciences: a multiplayer space for long-form conversation, presentations, poetry, music and interdisciplinary exchange. Rather than designing around rapid spectacle, the project explored how virtual architecture could support attention, thoughtful reflection and meaningful discussion between geographically dispersed guests.

Its first programmed session, Art, Architecture, Ecology, brought together Phnam Bagley of Nonfiction Design, Dr. Andre Sobolewski of Clear Coast Consulting and Xander Simms of Digital Storytellers. Their work and insights formed the basis of a wider conversation about creativity, environmental thought and the emerging metaverse.

The platform was later adapted into the Sunflower Room for Arts and Culture for Ukraine, a ninety-minute international event celebrating Ukrainian art, literature and language while directing audiences toward established charitable support.

Realization

The Ruby Room combined a central presentation area with social circulation, themed visual design and integrated media. Multiplayer avatars, proximity-based conversation, web chat and presentation tools allowed the venue to function as both a formal program space and an informal gathering place.

For the Ukraine event, the environment was transformed through colour, artwork, video and program-specific presentation materials. Guests Elena Herweyer, Dr. Michael S. Blekhman and Dr. Olga Bezhanova joined moderator Marina Byezhanova for a program designed to connect cultural interpretation with community action.

Accessibility remained part of the underlying design philosophy. Scene descriptions, guided orientation, readable typography and sensory controls supported visitors who might otherwise find visually intense social-XR environments difficult to navigate.

Outcome

These events proved that a virtual world can support serious cultural programming without losing the presence and spontaneity of a live gathering. Ruby Room Prime created an original format for interdisciplinary salons, while the Sunflower Room showed that the same platform could be respectfully transformed around a specific community, visual identity and public purpose.

The Ruby Room was subsequently recognized as a Laval Virtual 2022 finalist in the Virtual Worlds category. More importantly, it established a repeatable model for producing international events in which speakers, art, media and audiences share the same spatial experience.

What's Next?

Together, these projects trace the development of Xyris XR from individual virtual venues toward a broader event-production practice. Ruby Room Prime established a space for cultural exchange. The Sunflower Room demonstrated how that space could serve an international community. hundo CareerCon22 proved that it could be restructured around a client, audience and program. ArKathedral advanced the venue itself as a work of event architecture. Syxth Element transformed the production knowledge gained across these experiments into reusable technology.

This is the work Xyris XR brings to IMMERSIVEX 2026: not a single room or isolated demonstration, but a growing system for designing, producing and reimagining shared experience in virtual space.
